Christmas is the finish festive of the year. During the winter vacations, we want to enjoy relaxing time at home in the company of our friends and relatives. I love to watch special Christmas movies which elevate the spirit of enjoyment and happiness in me. There is nothing better than to enjoy these Christmas movies during the lovely winter vacations. Here are the top 10 best Christmas movies of all time.

Gremlins is a horror comedy, released in 1984. This wonderful Christmas movie was directed by Joe Dante. Chris Columbus wrote the story in an impressive way and the whole team worked really hard to make it a success on box-office. The story of this movie is about the foundation for raising gremlins.

This Jalmari Helander directed movie was released in 2010. It is one of my favorite and most interesting Christmas movies in the world. The movie stars Per Christian Ellefsen, Peeter Jakobi and Jorma Tommila. The story revolves around a Santa who punishes the naughty kids and rewards those who had been good throughout the year.

Brazil is another wonderful Christmas movie, released in 1985. The director of this movie is Terry Gilliam and it stars Jonathan Pryce, Robert de Niro, Ian Holm and Michael Palin. Brazil was a big box-office hit. The story is about a nightmare world of Orwellian. Brazil ‘s story is very simple yet it impressed me a lot and I urged to watch the movie again and again during the Christmas vacations.

Edward Scissorhands was released in 1990 and is a highly admirable Christmas movie by Tim Burton. The prominent stars of this movie are Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder, Dianne Wiest, Vincent Price and Alan Arkin. The story is about a grandmother who tells her grandchild why snow falls every Christmas. While telling the story, she and the grandchild get into a world of dreams. The emotional scenes and fine performance of the stars make Edward Scissorhands a wonderful Christmas movie you can enjoy with your family.

The framing of the Lethal Weapon is very impressive. This movie was released in 1987 and is a direction of Richard Donner. The stars of the movie are Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, Gary Busey, Mitch Ryan and Tom Atkins. As Lethal Weapon is a Christmas movie so it opens with an interesting Jungle Bell rock. The opening scene of Christmas tree had made me a fan of this movie. I admit that the story of the movie was quite impressive, but still it could not make me that crazy as various other Christmas movies did.

Home Alone was released in 1990. It is one of the best Christmas movies of all time. The story is simple yet interesting. Another series of Home Alone was also released in 1994. The film is produced and directed by John Hughes. I must say the whole team has worked really hard to make it a big success of the year.

Christmas Carol was released in 1984. This movie is credited to be the first of George C. Scott’ TV version. This classic Christmas movie has simple yet interesting characters. The story is also very interesting and I loved to watch this movie the last Christmas when I had nothing special to do at home.

It’s a Wonderful Life is a great Christmas movie. It was released in 1978. The story of this film is very impressive and full of entertainment. I must say this is a great movie of Golden Age times when the films used to be simple and highly impressive.
